6 Sites to Sell Your Used Clothes

Selling your old clothes online is a great way to get extra cash. There are quite a few sites out there that make it easy for anyone to cash in on their closet. Some sites will even do all the work for you, literally sending you a bag to fill with your old clothes and give you cash or credit up front or when your stuff are sold.

Here are 6 sites that allow you to sell your used clothes. Each one is a little different and there are restrictions on brands and types of clothing they will take. I tried to include the services offered by each site, and the percentage of the sales that you get to keep to help you find which might work for you. Most of them will give you bonus if your friends sign up through your links, too.

I'm a member of most of these sites so some are my sign-up links, but I don't have a favorite, yet. Enjoy!

1. Twice
They send you a pre-paid bag to ship "superb" condition women's clothing and they pay you up front. They only take clothing from high-end brands on their list and it has to be current styles from the last 5 years. You can get $10 off your first purchase and $10 bonus from your first sale! Right now, you get $10 bonus per accepted handbag and $5 per pair of shoes!

2. Threadflip

You choose Full Service or Sell it Yourself through their site or mobile app.
With Full Service, they send you a free, prepaid shipping bag to fill, they professionally photograph and upload items directly to your closet and ship your items once they sell. You keep 60% of the selling price.

If you choose to sell it yourself, you can print the shipping label and mail your items, but you keep 80% of the selling price. Use my link and you will get a $5 credit!

This site has the Pinterest style feed which I really like. They send you pre-paid envelopes to ship your item when it sells. They keep 20%, you get 80% of the selling price. They also have fun "parties" on their site where you can join, buy, or sell according to the party theme. I'm just checking out a Lulumon and Nike party!

4. ThredUp
Thred Up offers a different kind of service, including charitable donation of clothes that can't be sold. They send you a "clean out bag" to clean out your closets. They list and sell the items giving you 40% of the sale
Anything they can't sell goes to charity (or can be mailed back). Plus, you get $10 to shop when you use my link!

5. Tradesy
This site gives you a whopping 91% commission on your sales AND sends you the pre-paid envelope for shipping. All the rest is up to you. You will also get a $25 credit toward your first $100 purchase when you sign up with my link!

6. Dresm
Dresm makes it easy for anyone to sell their used clothing with a super low $0.20 listing fee. If your items sells, you pay a mere 6% fee to the site and keep the rest of the sale price. You are responsible for photographing, listing, and shipping the items on your own.

I don't know about you, but I'm cleaning out my closet and I'm ready to cash in!

    1. I love the FB idea, too! I've joined one local group, but haven't gotten active there, yet. I was worried about coordinating to meet people in person, but great point about pocketing all the cash!
